In a few weeks, the Emerson swimming pool will be open.  I plan to make use of adult swim!  One of my tomato plants has blossoms, so that is promising!  The warmth and sun for the past few days has been good for the garden.

Emerson Pool will be open daily July and August for 1-5 p.m., and 6:30-8:30 p.m.  Adult swim 5:45 - 6:30 p.m.  Break times 3 - 3:15 and 5 - 5:45 p.m.  Daily Fees: Single - $5, Family $20.  Season Pass: Single $100, Family $180, additional family member: $1 daily, $10 season pass.  3-day family pass: $50, 7-day family pass - $80.  Family is 2 adults and up to 4 children, additional family member $2 each.  Passes available at the LUD office, Emerson Swimming Pool, or on line at

Emerson Public Library is located at the Emerson Town Hall.  Their hours are:
Monday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday - 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday - Closed.  Check their Facebook page for Sunday and evening hours.  Closed for lunch from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.  For more information, call the Town Hall and Emerson Public Library at 204-373-2002.

Darlene Klapka will continue to handle bookings for hall rental of New Horizons Centre, she can be reached at 204-373-2373.  Rental has been raised to $120 for nonmembers and $75 for members. 

At New Horizons Centre, Shuffleboard - On Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:00, men are welcome to come play cribbage, shuffleboard, play pool, or just gather for coffee.  $2 per person.

At New Horizons Centre, on Fridays, at 9:30, women are welcome to have a cup of coffee or tea and conversation.
